A ce sujet, on notera que les versions à bague interne en deux parties (figures 6-10) ou à bague externe en deux parties (figures 3, 4, 11) seront utiles pour le positionnement de la denture d’entraînement 33 qui se fera toujours sur la bague en une partie. Suivant les configurations, la denture est sur la bague radialement intérieure ou la bague extérieure.

Explanation:
This appears to be describing a gear on which the teeth may be machined either on the inner or on the outer radius. Both are possible of course, but for the former, both wheels rotate in the same direction (but at different speeds), whereas the opposite is true for the latter.

Explanation:
