a thousand words. Without one, it's hard to say, but it may be that diameter D30 is common to various other things. I don't think it means anything other than "common".
Patentese is always obscure, and requires careful interpretation, eg. "étant unique (figure 3)...", ie there is just 1 intermediate row, as shown in Fig. 3, etc...

La rangée intermédiaire 171 étant unique figure 3, le diamètre D3 des billes y est supérieur à celui D30, commun, des billes des deux rangées intermédiaires successives de la figure 4, mais ceci peut varier : le diamètre de la bille est le résultat d’un calcul à partir des efforts radiaux de l’application. "
