Je ne peux pas employer le terme "impact" car un choc n'est pas forcément suivi d'un impact visible.
Ce serait plus au sens de coup donné par exemple en heurtant la pièce.

Yes, you CAN use 'impact', because it doesn't necessarily have to mean 'the VISIBLE TRACE OF an impact'
In EN, we would use the word 'impact' to imply any kind of shock stress in just the way you describe
