La feuille est montée dans un cadre de profilés renforcés, épaisseur min. 3 mm, en aluminium extrudé anodisé naturel et **bi-affleurants** avec la feuille et, en bas, un profil **inox** en forme U renversé

... natural extruded anodised aluminum and ...

Also, I know that inox is inoxidable, but in the US we say
stainless when we mean inoxidable... this is for the UK... inoxidable section in the shape of an inverse U?

Clarification request(s) and response
B D Finch: 10:54am Dec 28, 2006: We also tend to say "stainless steel" in the UK.
silviantonia: 12:10pm Dec 28, 2006: Thank you all! - Dusty Tony, Alice and Barbara; my deepest gratitude.

flush with the door panel on both sides
Explanation:
My guess is the door panel is rebated on each side to the thickness of the aluminium section which fits over the panel, the outer face of the section then being flush with each face of the panel.

Inox = stainless steel for UK usage too.

agree Tony M: Exactly my understanding; note the plural "affleurants" agreeing with "profilés", making it clear that "affleurants" here is being used as an adjective, not a noun
