French to English translations [PRO]
Science - Engineering: Industrial / Article on collecting and storing carbon dioxide produced by industrial processes
French term or phrase: piégeage
Context:
"La séquestration minéralogique.
L'idée est de reproduire artificiellement le processus naturel de formation des roches carbonatées dont la chimie favorise son piégeage minéral (basaltes, péridotite, anortite, etc.)."
Would "trapping" be right here? The same article includes "piéger" concerning CO2.
Thanks in advance for help.

carbon sink
Definition (english only)
Forests and other ecosystems that absorb carbon, thereby removing it from the atmosphere and offsetting CO2 emissions. The Kyoto Protocol allows certain human-induced sinks activities undertaken since 1990 to be counted towards Annex I Parties' emission targets.

Ah, that's where you've allowed yourself to be mizzled. Let it be known that in fact Greenland is in the Eure.
