I'm translating a functional analysis doc relating to the introductiion of new shredding machinery. One of the column headings describing different aspects of the machinery is:
Spécifications, valeur standard....
Etre capable de détruire tous les déchets de production et de respecter la capacité de traitement de la presse (etc)
Standard functions perhaps?

This would indicate the normal criteria the machinery should meet. The value could be higher or lower, but there wouldn't seem to be much sense in it defaulting to a value that might be untrue.
