Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) / mechanical powderer
French term or phrase: bloc/corps mécanique
Démontage du bloc mécanique :

 Apres avoir démonté les chaînes,
 Desserrer les 7 vis de fixation du corps mécanique.
 Extraire le corps mécanique complet du bâti.

I am wondering if these two terms are being used interchangeably here, or whether they are in fact referring to two different parts of the machine. In this case the machine is a mechanical powderer, and the bloc mecanique appears to refer to the drive mechanism...but what would the 'corps mecanique' be, I wonder. Difficult, I know, without a diagram, and one I have only indicates the 'bloc' - merely referring to the 'corps' indirectly, so not much help.

mechanical assembly
Explanation:
Unless specifically differentiated elsewhere, it looks like confusion was introduced with this interchangeability of words.

In my opinion, "assembly" would cover these two words.

Luck!

Assembly was an option I considered - along with 'unit' - and in the end the diagram was too vague to decide...so I used a note. But thanks for your answer...which was helpful.
