Wondering exactly what the 'butée' would be in the context below. This is a list of tests to be carried out on a turbogenerator/alternator used in power generation (steam). I know that it can mean some sort of 'stop' or 'block' but am not sure what part of the device is being referred to here. Elsewhere in the text it also speaks of 'usure butée' so it is obviously a part that needs to be checked for wear and tear.
