I have translated écrémage as skimming, so would I be correct in saying 'skimming box'? |

SkimmER box is the usual designation, I think. Loads of hits for swimming pools. These are the boxes or cavities which trap insects, lizards, leaves, etc. before they get to the pump filter. |
