French term or phrase: ailettes de cloisonnement
Hi again,

"L'élément de protection inférieur comporte trois ailettes de cloisonnement verticales disposées entre les ouvertures de façon à protéger les têtes d'impressions..."

Your help is highly appreciated :)
Thank you

partitioning / shielding fins
Explanation:
''Shielding'' is the job these ''ailettes'' do, as described in the patent:

de façon à protéger les têtes d'impression 6 les unes par rapport aux autres pour éviter tout type de pollution d'un fluide par rapport à une autre.

Maybe these little ''ailettes'' are little protective wings or fins coming out of the printer heads radially (like a cone?) that prevent the ink that is coming out of one printer head from cross-contaminating the adjacent printer head.

sealing flaps

Explanation:
The term is most commonly used for the flaps of envelopes, but has been used in more technical contexts (see urls). The idea being to protect the printing heads, 'sealing flaps' seems appropriate.

Example sentence(s):
  • Sealing flaps give protection against dust and splash water
