Explanation:
these are ventilation tiles (chatières) and, I suppose, special tiles for fitting around (chimney) stacks.

These days regulations require "chatières" to equalize air pressures above and below roofs, given that the same regulations require membranes beneath the tiles (pare-neige). Without membranes, the pressures more or less balanced without the special tiles. Designs vary, but many are in the shape of V-shaped projections.

If these things really ARE in a suspended ceiling, I can only imagine they play a similar role.
