French to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Environment & Ecology / coastal erosion | | French term or phrase: boudin | "implantation au large de la côte de boudins atténuateurs de houles"
This is some kind of breakwater. I don't know if boudin has a specific English equivalent in this context. They seem to be referring to some kind of geotextile tubing, but I don't want to be too specific since I only gathered this from my own research. Any ideas?
Many thanks!

| breakwater sausages
Explanation: as you have the "sausage" to take guys behind a 'speed' boat turning around tpo make them fall, sometimes they throw suasage froms linked with a rope that tries to break the waves, or to stop oil spots from expanding

Asker: These particular 'boudins' are to be used to dissipate swell energy in order to prevent coastal erosion. From what I can gather they are also supposed to be invisible on the surface.
