I can imagine this notion of (active) "colouring" coming into play in numerical modelling of buildings, those 3D BIM systems that allow you to "walk through" a virtual model of a building and perceive light, colour, shadow, texture, etc. in addition to dimensions and perspective. I imagine the BIM model is basically "colourless" (textureless, shadowless, etc.) to start with, being simply a 3D representation of 2D blueprints. For "walkthroughs", colours, weather conditions, times of day, etc. can be varied (what might be called colorisation, météorisation, heurisation!). |
