Context:
"Les informations reportées doivent être contrôlées par le contributeur et/ou une autre personne, ceci afin de limiter le risque d’erreur dans la transmission des informations. Ces contrôles comprennent notamment des analyses détaillées et ratios de contrôle."

Could this refer to reference ratios, against which the observed ratios/proportions are assessed? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? I can't find any further clues in the text.
