Tech/Engineering - Environment & Ecology / waste management
French term or phrase: valorisation/valorisable
Do we have a specific term in UK english for these?
Le personnel doit continuer à se mobiliser et doit être informé sur les matériaux collectés, leurs tris, leurs recyclages et leurs valorisations.

Explanation:
This ansswer relates solely to "valorisation", because you haven't given any context for "valorisable".

The items are listed in chronological order, with "valorisation" at the end. It's the last thing that happens to them: they're collected, sorted, recycled and used. For example, newsprint might be used to make more newsprint.

We've had this before, in a different context, but I believe the answer is the same.

neutral  philgoddard: No - recovery is a synonym for recycling. It has a more specific meaning in this context.

Oh, come on, Bash

Explanation:
There's no shortage of terms. The difficulty is finding the right one in each particular instance.

Beneficiation, monetization, put to beneficial effect, put to economic advantage, give financial value to, disposal of in an environmentally friendly way ... The list is practically interminable, and that's not counting valorisation of people and their ideas, etc. ;-)

disagree  Gabrielle Leyden: no, valoriser means recover (deriving value from resale or reuse may explain the "value" root)

exploitative properties (value)/exploitable

Explanation:
Hello,

My try...and in my humble opinion...

valorisation = it exploitative properties

valorisable = exploitable

When you’re talking about natural resources or knowledge rather than people, exploitation meaning "the fullest most profitable use of something" is not a bad thing. The exploitation of recycled materials can only be beneficial to our pollution problems. When people suffer under exploitation, however, it means their misfortune is being used for another's profit. Child labor, sweatshop work and debt slavery are all forms of exploitation.
