Or, just "packaging" and drop the "devenir", as I'll explain in a minute.

My suggestion is more in line with the precise words in your question.

If I were actually translating the text myself, I'd probably just say something to the effect that life cycle analysis accounts for packaging and not worry about the word "devenir", which I'm thinking of as "what happens to the packaging". But, that sort of depends on the target audience. I'm assuming that the document targets an audience who essentially knows what life cycle analysis is...

agree  chris collister: En principe, I quite like destiny (some PET bottles are "destined" to become fleeces), though I do wonder if inanimate things have a "destiny"?
