French term or phrase: l’intérêt du groupe
Can this be translated in any way other than directly as "the interest of the group"? I've translated "l’intérêt social" as corporate responsibility but I'm not sure about the literal translation for " l’intérêt du groupe". Here's the whole sentence:

group interest
Explanation:
It seems in this context that the group could be either that of a sub-set (department, salesmen as against engineers, etc.) or of an overlapping group (labour union, or even political party) or else of a super-group (industry, holding company). Further context might help you.
