This could refer to stock held by the borrower (borrowing under the Credit Agreement which is what this appears to be part of) in another company rather than its own shares i.e. the third party. The reference to "détenu de coton" may be to securities in cotton.

All this is born from my understanding of credit agreements and how they are structured rather than any concrete examples. I'll see if I can find any...
