agree  philgoddard: But it needs a verb in this context - "owning" would be the obvious choice.

  -> Thanks, Phil. It vaguely occurred to me that a verb was more appropriate than a "nominalisation" when describing a business purpose, but I was too hasty. If I had it to do over again, I'd go with "managing financial holdings."
