Fisheries
French term or phrase: carrelet
This is from a tourist information site.

"la côte offre une succession de conches et de rochers ponctués de carrelets"

None of the typical translations seem to fit ie plaice (fish), tessera (a type of tile), a large needle etc

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!
