French term or phrase: Frigo réserve distribution
This is an item in a table that provides instructions to a cleaning firm on how to go about cleaning various parts of a self-service restaurant (it comes under the subheading "LOCAUX DE RESTAURANT (SELF-SERVICE – CAFETERIA…"). I guess it must be a refrigerated unit with doors (I presume the "joints" are "seals") that the customer can open to take out whatever chilled food they want to buy. Is this simply a "self-service fridge/chiller"? Does anyone know for sure what this would be in UK English, please?

This is how the term is presented in the column:

"Frigo
réserve
distribution
(joints, portes, etc…)"

The next item in the table is "meubles distribution", which I presume is "distribution racks" (IATE) for non-refrigerated foodstuffs, such as crisps, etc.

neutral  Tony M: I suspect there's more to this than meets the eye. Yes, I think we do — it's vital to differentiate between the (probably open) display part and the 'storage' part (which is likely to have doors)

  -> yes, agree with you about réserve= stock,(to restock front/top part) but surely we don't need to be that explicit in English? e.g."There's a chill cabinet/display fridge and underneath/behind there's a place for holding replenishment stock".
