This appears in a menu:

Confit de tomate et <>'

I think it must be 'prawns' (gambas) as nothing useful comes up on Google under 'gambavas', or in any of my other searches.

Has anyone any other ideas please? Many thanks for your help

Low confidence level as I'm not sure and can't find proof on the net, but "gambava" immediately makes me think of "combava".

I only found one restaurant where "gambava" is on the menu http://www.lachotte.ch/?PHPSESSID=ia060eih75c172323ti44ge8b0...
