I have Googled this product to see what it looks like, but I have no idea how to describe it in English. It's from a document marketing a particular bakery's products.

agree  Tony M: I'd leave off the 'cake' at the end, 'loaf' on its own is enough; and for the purpose of this description, I think bacon is acceptable, describing mainly the flavour, rather then the shape of the bits. I firmly believe this is another 'cake'

agree  Catharine Cellier-Smart: agree with Tony about leaving "cake" off the end, also about "bacon" being the simplest translation for "lardons"
