I'm trying to translate this job title into English. This is what the job involves -

À la fois pilote et aiguilleur, il commande une série d’opérations automatisées : réception du lait dans l’usine, traitements de préparation puis répartition vers les ateliers selon la fabrication voulue.

• Depuis sa cabine de pilotage qui domine le hall des cuves, tuyaux et machines, il oriente le lait suivant un parcours bien tracé sans toutefois jamais le voir ni le toucher.

• Il contrôle une série de vannes automatisées qui relient les cuves aux postes de traitement puis aux ateliers.

• Étape par étape, il fait suivre au lait le parcours qui lui est destiné : pasteurisateurs, écrémeuses et éventuellement unités de microfiltration.

• Du fait des règles rigoureuses d’hygiène, il assure le nettoyage régulier et en profondeur des circuits.
