agree Ségolène Neilson: Merci de tes explications mais pour moi jonc est métallique. Quant à bead ce terme était employé pour le joint des fenêtres dans l'automobile ou pour le joint d'étanchéité.

  -> Thanks, Ségolène! Tout à fait d'accord : jonc (tout comme 'bead', 'trim', ou 'fillet') est le plus souvent métallique. Le terme 'bead' s'applique en moult domaines diverses, pas uniquement auto, ...

agree Tony M: It's OK but a bit of a layman's term, not really the same technical register as the source text / after all, 'strip' would rather translate 'bande' than 'jonc', which has a 3D element to it!
