French to English translations [PRO]
Furniture / Household Appliances / instructions for use of a high chair
French term or phrase: bassin
Toujours s'assurer que le bassin est correctement fixé.

I've no idea whether this indicates the seat of the chair or even the tray. Does anyone know for certain?

English translation:waist strap
Explanation:
They might mean the ''point d'attache pour le bassin'': there are three straps that need to be around the baby when she is sitting in the high chair: the one between the legs, the one around the waist, and the one over the shoulders:

La chaise haute de bébé doit posséder 3 points d’attache en cas de fixation basse (bassin et entre jambe) et 5 points d’attache en cas de fixation haute (bassin, entre jambe, épaule).

To help prevent injuries and deaths, high chairs should have a waist strap and a strap that runs between the legs

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes, that would make sense. Thank you!

Asker: I queried this with the client and was first told to ignore it (!) then he sent an amended version using the word 'harnais', so I guess your answer would have been correct.
