Here is the full sentence. I get the feeling there is a word or idea missing. Am I wrong?

Clarification request(s) and response
AWOE: 12:10am Oct 12, 2007: Ok - but I wanted to make sure because in other parts of this contract, they use the word "analogue" for "analog" (as in vs. "digital")... does "analogous" still apply? Is it just the nature of legalese?
Michael Tovbin: 12:13am Oct 12, 2007: The othe one would be "analog" exactly as you put it. This one is "analogous" or any synonym of appropriate style.
writeaway: 1:26am Oct 12, 2007: hi-it's not a legalese term. just written French.

or any other similar existing or future format

Explanation:
Hello,

analogue - similar object, idea, etc

Here, you need to it as a "format" , as that's what "cédérom, CD-I, CD-photo, Cédérom, DVD et par réseau numérique " are.

I hope this helps.

along the same lines

Explanation:
In this type of context "analogue" means "along the same lines". Once you understand that, you will be able to re-word it to fit.
