French term or phrase: d'un média l'autre
I understand this to mean "in one medium, another medium may be found", implying that the characteristics of one are also partly those of another: in short, that one medium can be seen in another, more or less explicitly. At the same time, this French construction has never been quite clear to me, and I am not sure my author uses it with a sense of what it precisely means, either… Attention: it is "d'un média l'autre", not "d'un média à l'autre," though the first expression might be derived from the second, with the "à" elided? Thanks for any suggestions

-> Yes, although I'd understood that for Franck the context isn't important - I think he just wants a global all-purpose translation of the phrase that is and that has in the past been bugging him!

neutral  CMJ_Trans (X): out of context it really isn't worth bothering - does asker want help or not?

-> I think that yes, Franck does want help but not in the precise, everything depends on the context situation that we normally deal with!

each begins where the other ends

Explanation:
It's the sense of continuous flow. I think you'll have to translate the meaning without trying to stick too closely to the Fr words. I'm not sure if we can express the same idea as succintly in En.

of any other media

Explanation:
From the title "Bédé, pub et art, d’un média l’autre," I understand it is about choosing a media of expression as a comic strip, publicity and art. I trust that this explains the term used.

It can be explained as from one media to another. Ihis gives an option to choose the media to be chosen.
