La nappe d’eau souterraine au droit du site est également impactée et polluée par ces substances (les teneurs mesurées dépassent également les valeurs guides).

Also, is there a difference between "une nappe d’eau souterraine" and "une nappe fréatique" (water table)?

Explanation:
"Impacted" I have often seen in a business context (share X is impacted by the drop in...). So, I'd retain "impacted".
I checked "nappe phréatique" and "nappe d'eau souterraine".
In the "LGDT" you'll find for both "ground water" (or "groundwater"), whereas you find in "Dictionary of Earth Science" (Masson Publishing) "saturation level".
Thus, I'd retain "impacted" + "ground water".

Explanation:
Une nappe d'eau souterraine se localise sous le territoire d'une seule commune qui y capte l'eau pour son alimentation en eau potable. Une commune voisine peut-elle réaliser un forage dans cette nappe à partir d'un terrain qu'elle y a acquis, pour assurer son alimentation en eau potable ?

Le fait de posséder un terrain donnant accès à la nappe d'eau souterraine donne à cette commune la possibilité d'y prélever de l'eau. Cependant la commune devra obtenir une autorisation pour effectuer ce prélèvement. En tout état de cause il faut s'assurer que la capacité de la nappe soit suffisante pour satisfaire les besoins des populations des deux communes.

Explanation:
"Impacted" I have often seen in a business context (share X is impacted by the drop in...). So, I'd retain "impacted".
I checked "nappe phréatique" and "nappe d'eau souterraine".
