I am interested in "strm", what does this stand for? Is there an English equivalent?

Explanation:
This is the SRTM home page. The Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) obtained elevation data on a near-global scale to generate the most complete high-resolution digital topographic database of Earth. SRTM consisted of a specially modified radar system that flew onboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour during an 11-day mission in February of 2000.

It seems that the 'r' and 't' are mixed up here (appearances of the acronym in the title and body are different):

Both the Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (STRM) topography and the Advanced Space borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) have been widely used in hydrology, climatology, glaciology, and others since they were made access to the public.
