It came up again, this time without the "s." So it looks like the "s" was a typo and "en ex." is the abbreviation.

I'm pretty sure it's "exercice" it makes perfect sense in the context. Why don't you post it as an answer, Sandra? The S will have to remain a mystery!

Pretty much a 50-50 guess between them -- you will need to ask the client or...toss a coin! ;-)

Abbreviations/in-house jargon always cause hassle.

Surely you must have SOME context. What is "la démarche", for instance?
