French to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Human Resources / Travel
French term or phrase:déplacement à l’étranger
I believe my question has more to do with legal requirements than the actual meaning of the phrase. I can't decide whether they're talking about "travel abroad" or "relocation abroad". This appears in a set of procedures for business expense reimbursement:
"Tout déplacement à l’étranger doit être signalé à la DRH avant la date du départ pour information des organismes de Sécurité Sociale"
The only reason why I hesitate to call this "travel abroad" is that I don't know why the HR department would have to contact the Social Security agencies for just a simple business trip. I could understand the need if it were an actual long-term relocation though. Is there some reporting regulation that I don't know about? THANKS!
