In an expatriation contract, should this be translated as the posting company, the donor company, the recipient? I am familiar with secondment or assignment agreements in the educational/university field, where usually you have a donor, a recipient, and the employee... Do I have this wrong?

In your example, the move is temporary rather than permanent but the term "host company" (more commonly "host country" / "home country") still applies.

Asker: Excellent response and even better link, which I have now added to my favorites. Of course, I had used host country elsewhere in the translation, so why not host company?
