There's a French film with almost the same title meaning - Is there a pilot flying this plane? It's hilarious.

Yes, definitely go for someone needed to be in charge. On careful thought it just makes more sense to me.
We are getting lots of news articles on same problem with the EU - no-one\'s really co-ordinating it.

Thanks Pina. I know what you mean about wanting to share the points. I wish we could do that. Oh, I know about the film with the title translated to "airplane" as my previous husband is an airline pilot (but I'm not so sure I would fly with him ...)
Actually ther is no cuckoo nest theory... I mentioned the movie as a funny (I thought) aside... The line reminds me of the movie, but is not from it... It's a line we tend to use to comment on utter chaos.
Article is asking who is co-ordinating the scenario since everything's getting out of hand. We have similar articles for the EU with so many countries, a dose of extremist nutters too, and no-one to co-ordinate the whole lot. Articles talk of pilots too.
The line "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" is a Mother Goose rhyme that one of the patients (Chief) recited over and over and it does relate to the plot in many ways. However, I think Marian's point is that Jack's character (Randle) incited the patients to cause chaos in the psych ward. Of course, this ended up backfiring on him. :-)
That article gets a bit complicated for me (that's why I stick to financial French), but I get the impression that it's the same idea of utter chaos, when you shake your head and comment Who's running...
The problem with the cuckoo nest theory is it's about someone being smart enough to get out of there - not about putting someone in charge to co-ordinate the madness. Text doesn't seem to be about a company trying to get out. What do you think?
The movie with Jack Nicholson you are thinking of is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". It's one of my favourite movies and I even saw the play in London last summer. :-) Thanks for your input.
Seems to me on reading the text it's more the fact that no-one's in charge and that why they say "folie". Also it's folie cos there are so many of them. Think best if you go for someone being in charge of all the operations. It would be safer.
It's chaos because there are too many companies jumping in.. I think the implication is price wars and cutthroat competition for subscribers. The last line, I believe, is just a comment that the whole thing is chaos, insane.
