I am not sure whether this reads as particular conditions or something else in a shipping insurance contract (goods)

This is normally a short one-page attachment to the policy wording (which would be a standard company wording) specifying things relating to the particulae risk being insured, such as the policy period, deductible, sum insured, risk location, etc.

This would seem to fit in with your context, but the phrase is sometimes used for special conditions, which are conditions particular to that risk in addition to the general conditions that would apply to all of that company's risks of a particular type (e.g. fire, all risks, etc.).

The gdt gives \"declarations\" as a translation. I would comment that I have NEVER come across this used in English in this sense!

Special conditions


Explanation:
In insurance contracts (in Belgium) you have the General conditions (conditions générales) and then the Special Conditions (conditions particulières) .

The general conditions describes the conditions, rights and obligations that apply to all insured with the same insurance product.

The special conditions are the conditions that apply to the insured and the risk (personal information, the deductible, duration of the contract...). These differ per contract.
