French term or phrase: assisteur
Travel insurance, US English needed.

This "assisteur" is not the insurance company per se but a subsidiary, which provides assistance to travellers in trouble.

"Conditions d’intervention
Dans tous les cas, seules les autorités médicales de l’Assisteur sont habilitées à décider du rapatriement, du choix des moyens de transport et du lieu d'hospitalisation et se mettent si nécessaire en rapport avec le médecin traitant sur place et/ou le médecin de famille.
Les réservations sont faites par l’Assisteur qui est en droit de demander à l’Assuré, les titres de transport non utilisés."

(travel) assistant / travel assistance provider
Explanation:
Mary, the provider who provides the actual assistance to travellers is the "travel assistance provider", which insurance companies use to coordinate the assistance services in the field and through the phone.

hence, I don't see many alternatives to "assistant" "travel assistant" or "travel assistance provider", though of course that meaning is often used in a much broader meaning . Sorry, in this case it looks like a case where French has a special word and English does not ???

Assistor exists to help file your taxes, but not for much else.
