French term or phrase: déclaration circonstanciée
An external modem has been damaged as a result of a thunderstorm. A claim can be made on the household insurance policy. The insurance company requires a form to be filled in by the repair shop, indicating the cost of repair, the original invoice for the modem and a ‘déclaration circonstanciée’. Can anyone explain exactly what the latter entails?
