French term or phrase:caution gagiste
Help. I'd already asked this question and accepted the answer, but now I think I was off base - I can't use 'surety bond' to refer to a person or company because it's an agreement. So, now, if a 'caution' is a person or company standing surety for an obligation (in this case a pledge of shares) to a lender, and 'gagiste' denotes anything to do with a pledge (i.e. 'créancier-gagiste' being the 'pledgee' or entity to whom the pledge is made), then why can't I find anything appropriate, such as 'pledge surety' or 'pledgor surety'? No hits come up for anything like this.
