French to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Investment / Securities | | French term or phrase: se mettre court | I'm looking for the right English phrase for this term in investment terminology please, as I'm not sure that "to cut short" or "to shorten" is quite right. Here is the relevant extract:
"Le succès du fonds tient à la justesse des paris stratégiques du gérant sur le long terme. En 2008, par exemple, il n a pas hésité à se mettre court en duration au mois de septembre, en pleine période de panique, estimant que les anticipations de récession étaient largement intégrées par le marché, générant ainsi une forte surperformance en novembre."
