French to English translations [PRO] IT (Information Technology) / Operating manual
French term or phrase:action de l'exploitation
Action de l'exploitation: configuration réseau
Il s'agit ici de positionner les paramètres réseau (IP etc.) du serveur d'applications.
Action de l'exploitation: Génération du certificat Serveur
Il s'agit de créer une bi-clé et un certificat serveur auto signé pour le serveur d'applications...etc.
I have this translated right now as "operating task" , but I'm not sure if that's the best translation. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I would prefer "operations task" myself. It is grammatically dubious, but then what IT term isn't?

Explanation: just a suggestion, since the "actions" mentioned seem like they might involve several steps

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Mark, thanks. These "actions de l'exploitation" are under the heading "Mode opératoire", which I've already translated as "operating procedure". So, unless I'm mistaken, these are basically the steps of the operating procédure. The manual is set up as follows:
Etapes - Description
Action de l'exploitation
Go figure. I've asked the client to give me some input...
