Any suggestions as to how to properly translate this?

hard-wired networking
Explanation:
The source text, as quoted above, is ... errr.... (trying desperately to avoid being impolite....) rubbish! 'IT sans fil' *is* 'IT de réseau'.

If you stress the distinction 'twixt 'hard-wired' and 'wireless' you will be delivering a translation that's far more meaningful than the source text. Soit ...

ethernet IT

Explanation:
hard-wired means soldered connections, not ethernet cable networks.

neutral  mediamatrix: Answer excessively specific; there are lots of (hard)-wired networks that don't involve Ethernet technology.

wired

Explanation:
Your translation should simply be "IT will progressively go from wired to wireless".

In fact, it is the Network Technology itself that will go wireless, not the Information Technology.

agree  rkillings: Yep, it's still networking. All that changes is the transmission medium. No excuse for the French here because a réseau sans fil is still a réseau.

agree  Deborah Workman: Indeed! One could also say, "Increasingly, wired computing is giving way to wireless computing," or "Increasingly, wired IT networks are giving way to wireless IT networks." I prefer to keep "networks" in the translation, even though "IT" implies it.
