French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - IT (Information Technology) / systems
French term or phrase: dossier d'architecture
job titles and usage in a resume:

architecte organique

architect fonctionnel.

dossier d'architecture

The first two seem to both mean systems architect. The last appear as follows, describing an IT project he worked on:

"De plus il y a différents dossiers d’architecture à préparer..."

any help in sorting it out would be appreciated. I already looked in the glossaries as well...

thanks

English translation:architectural specification
Explanation:
See my response to "dossier fonctionnel" in your other thread. Essentially, it seems they're referring to the "dossier fonctionnel/de conception", but specifically relating to the architecture of the system.

architecture file

Explanation:
Source 1: According to GDT, there are two sub-entries for "architecture" (FR) in a computing / IT context, meaning "architecture" (EN).

Source 2: http://l2r.cs.uiuc.edu/~cogcomp/software/snow-userguide/node...

Command line parameters for designing architectures with SNoW's various supported algorithms either on the command line or in **architecture files** are described below.

-A <architecture file>
: Specifies the name of a file from which to read the desired architecture definition and parameters. The file may look, for example, like:
-W 1.5,0.8,4.0,0.5:0-1
-P 0.1,4.0,0.20:0-1
-e count:1
-r 4

This parameter has no default.

-B -P -W
: These three parameters instantiate naive Bayes, Perceptron, and Winnow learners respectively. If none of them are specified, a default Winnow architecture is instantiated. They are -train mode parameters that have no effect in any other mode.

"De plus il y a différents dossiers d’architecture à préparer..."
=
"Furthermore, there are different architecture files to prepare..."

architecture files = 15,500 ghits (as an indicator).

CORRECTION:
"architecture file" = 15,500 ghits.
"architecture files" = 25,700 ghits.

disagree  Neil Coffey: Chris -- "dossier" doesn't usually mean "file" in the computing sense. In this case, it seems thye're talking about the specifications of the project.
