La première boucle n'est jamais exécutée. for (int i = 0; i < list.size(); i++), car l'objet list est forcément vide à cause de la mise en commentaire de la requête d’accès à la base de données.

You'll need to reverse the order at the end of the sentence by the way. For example "the list object is empty because the database query was commented out."

  -> I wondered what the older term was until I saw your suggestion. I've heard "remmed out", but it's been ages. All the cool kids say "commented out" now. :-)

Explanation:
Oh dear me, this takes me back!

In the days when non-executed program lines were labelled as 'remarks' by starting with the string rem, we used to say 'remmed' and 'to rem out'.
I have absolutely no idea if this term, or anything similar, is still used, but this might do for a 'period' document, at least! ;-)
