French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - IT (Information Technology) / Web site instructions
French term or phrase: table rôle
Features in a list of instructions for users of a web site, e.g:
- Table rôle invalide.
- La table rôle a été sauvegardée.
- La table rôle n’a pas pu être sauvegardée.
- ID invalide pour la table rôle

This site may be a clue, but I'm not sure if it refers to the same thing.

English translation:role/permissions/privileges table
Explanation:
I'd need a bit more context to be absolutely sure, but I think there are two possibilities:

(1) If the error/message is being generated by the database system itself, then it is probably referring to the DB system's internal table of which database users are allowed to perform what operations on the database (create tables, add rows to tables, delete rows etc). What exactly this is called depends on the individual DB system. In MySQL, for example, it is usually referred to as the "privileges" table, but other systems could call it the "permissions" table or indeed "roles" table. I think SQL Server actually does call them "roles".

(2) The customer's application might actually have the concept of user "roles" and store the association between users and roles in its own table. For example, a medical application might allow certain medical staff to view patient records, but administrative only to add new patients to the system (I'm obviously simplifying highly). Many applications would do this.

Perhaps the client can enlighten you?

role table

Explanation:
That seems to be the straightforward translation for the table in question, to yield (more of less):
- invalid role table
- role table backed up
- role table not backed up
- invalid role table ID

BTW, it may not matter for your ST, which seems pretty straightforward, but I don't see any obvious connection between your ST and the W3C website that you posted in your Discussion entry. The W3C site refers to role tables ( see http://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria/roles ), but you don't say if your ST is refers to a Roles Model or not.
