French to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s) / Lease Agreement
French term or phrase: procédure de mainlevés
Part of a lease agreement under 'Rent/Expenses/Payment Terms'

Le bailleur est en droit de facturer les frais dûs aux retards des paiements de loyer. En cas de ***procédure de mainlevés,*** le preneur admet le loyer selon la dernière adaptation légale.

The definition given in the dictionary of 'mainlevé' is 'release from a mortgage deed', but I can't see how that fits in here (or am I missing something?).

Many thanks in advance!

Asker: Thank you, but as I mentioned in my question, I know what the normal def is, but not how it relates to a lease agreement. There is no mortgage involved here.
