j'ai vu des versions/équivalences, dans différents pays, mais je ne sais pas trop si elles sont acceptées :

In less formal terms, the CNIL refers to it as the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 (see second reference).
At least the CNIL refers to it as an Act, not a Law, I'm pleased to see!
