French term or phrase: procès-verbal signé contradictoirement
Le présent marché fera l’objet d’une réception définitive et donnera lieu à l’établissement d’un procès-verbal signé contradictoirement par les deux parties.

in this case, procès-verbal is not the usual "minutes" but an acknowledgement of receipt
it's the "signé contradictoirement"
in Eurodicautom I got "agreed" which would make (some) sense here, but contradictoire means contradictorily not agreed...

Note: document from France translation for the US market

full sentence: signed in the presence of both parties by the 2 parties.
signé contradictoirement=signed in the presenceof both parties
"par les 2 parties"= by the 2 parties
Sorry, I thought the question was just the "signé contradictoirement" and the rest would be translated straightforwardly afterward.

disagree  Josephine79: Signed "by" both parties? I know it means both are present too, but "in the presence of" could mean it was someone else signing with them as witnesses.

-> yes. see my additional note. I agree with your point. I was only translating the first part.

disagree  writeaway: with Josephine. the 'standard meaning' doesn't fit this context. http://www.proz.com/kudoz/369923 http://www.proz.com/kudoz/538138 /see 538138

-> what I meant by standard meaning is that found in Dalloz, Robert,& other standard references. "in presence of the parties" for contradictoirement. Does not that seem consistent with what you have written elsewhere?
