The author has been paying all the upkeep for a horse owned 50/50 and it has been found to be unfit for the use for which he purchased it. This is a broodmare who cannot have foals - the deal was that all future foals would be registered in his name and he would pay all costs linked to their conception and the upkeep of the mother. However, as the mare has been proven to be infertile he is now seeking to recover half of the livery/upkeep costs from the other party.
