Hi,

I am struggling with this term, as I am not sure whether to translate it as 'bidder' or 'tenderer' The term is taken from an Employer-Contractor agreement(oil industry operations) and the term appears in the 'Code of Ethics' section as follows (and in other paragraphas):

Conformément au Dispositif de passation de Marchés de XXX (Directive A-408 (R16)) du 08 avril 2010, les présentes règles sont édictées aux fins d’instruire les structures de XXX ainsi que les soumissionnaires, fournisseurs, entrepreneurs, et consultants d’observer, lors de la passation et de l’exécution de marchés, les règles d’éthique professionnelles.

ref to the Larousse definition for business "soumission"which is a written statement whereby a businessperson agrees to terms and conditions, including financial , to a project his/her firm has just been adjudicated.
