Hi,

Warning, this may be a silly question :) I have translated "acte de cession" by "Deed of transfer", then in the document I have I-Cession,
II-Charges et conditions,
III- Prix,
etc.
Is this a usual pattern in all Deeds of transfer? May I translate it as I-Transfer?

Explanation:
Well, the word "cession" in French can also be translated into English with the same word, but, of course, differently pronounced. If your project has anything to do with the act of ceding, esp of ceding rights, then this translation may be the very appropriate one.

P.S. I'm very sorry if this remark will not seem pleasant, but I'm afraid that your translation "transfer act" does sound OK, but there could be a better variant -

"deed of cession" - l'acte de cession.

disagree  AllegroTrans: "cession" is not used in English in the context of private land transfers: I see these docs on a daily basis (as a legal practitioner) and "cession" is never used; your CL level here is OTT

NB I have given this particular ref. (unfortunately, I do not have access to the rest of the text" to show how easily Googling 'copyright "Deed of Cession"' can produce a misleading result. Here the Deed of Cession is the cession of the territory of Fiji!

However, the following does support Saidabbos' answer:
"C relied on 2 grounds. Ground 1 was failure by D to disclose a deed of cession (whereby proceeds of its claims against C were ceded to one of its creditors) which C alleged amounted to a serious irregularity within s 68(2)(g) of the 1996 Act. Ground 1 was rejected on the basis that there was nothing unconscionable or inherently wrong about the cessions, and thenon-disclosure was inadvertent. Ground 2 was that arbitrator failed to address the enforceability of the CFAs when making costs order which led to substantial injustice because C had to pay costs which D would not have been liable for any of the costs and equally K would not have been liable to pay if agreement was unenforceable. This was rejected because the enforceability of the CFAs was a question of law and therefore was not a seriously irregularity within s.68(2)(d)."
